Career Seekers Name Schlumberger One of World’s Ideal Employers

In the recently released Universum global talent attraction index, Schlumberger once again ranked in the top 50 of the Engineering Category of “The 2012 World’s Most Attractive Employers.” This index, compiled annually by Universum from selections of career seekers in the world’s 12 greatest economies, reflects the attractiveness of companies as employers and therefore their potential to lead the world of tomorrow. Universum annually surveys 400,000 students and professionals worldwide.
Trends seen in the Engineering Category show oil, gas, and energy companies remain attractive to the talent pool. Trends in both the Business and Engineer categories indicate increasing numbers of students are looking for international career opportunities and that Generation Y consumes media several times a day via multiple channels. “Employers have to understand where to find and communicate with their target group of potential candidates,” says Etienne Tremblin, employer branding consultant for Universum.
