Geoscience and Petrotechnical

As a SLB Petrophysicist, you’ll use your skillset to make our entire industry more efficient by deepening our understanding of the volume of hydrocarbons present in a reservoir and their potential flow through the reservoir rock. You’ll combine logging data from multiple downhole sensors with sample data to determine hydrocarbon production capacity, lithology and fluid saturation of the reservoir to ultimately help us optimize its production. You’ll incorporate data from multiple wells and additional sensors to consider acoustics, spectroscopy and magnetic resonance to enhance overall accuracy or build a clearer picture of the reservoir by understanding its permeability and mechanical properties. The skillset you’ll bring and develop further here through extensive training will give you the opportunity to work on truly groundbreaking projects that define the limits of what we know about the subsurface. A large part of the role involves using the latest analytical software and explaining your discoveries to delivery teams so you’ll also gain a thorough understanding of our industry and the innovation that powers it.
