Can you briefly describe your career to date?
I have done a couple of internships: first in Houston, TX; and then in Patterson, LA. In the six months after my graduation I completed my first rotation with the global rotational development program (GRDP) in Manufacturing Engineering in Ville Platte, LA. Since then, I have been on GRDP Quality Engineering rotation at the same location.

Can you describe a typical day for you?
After a large black cup of coffee in the morning, I begin my meetings for the day. I typically have daily meetings that address the valves that are going to be worked on throughout the day, and where they are in the process.

I make sure I exercise during lunchtime (it helps me get the blood flowing!)

I work better with structure and organization, so I move through my “to-do” list, trying to work well ahead of deadlines.

I am between the manufacturing plant and the office setting constantly, which allows me to physically see the problems I’m working on. Then, at the end of the day, I take 5 minutes to update each of my “to-do” list items rather than trying to remember everything the next day.

What do you enjoy most about working for Schlumberger?
I thoroughly enjoy that I am constantly challenged to better myself and sharpen my mind because of the people I am surrounded by. Working for a company that feels like a family is more than I could have ever asked for coming out of college. I am able to have conversations with people from different backgrounds who offer great advice and perspectives.

What is the working environment like?
I get to work with many different departments and teams on a daily basis. I have always been an extrovert and I enjoy being around people the majority of my day.

I work best with structure and organization, so to be in a place in my life where I can build my own schedule (for the most part) and center my schedule around my missions, priorities, and goals, is where I find I am most productive.
