Career Profile: Livonia

Livonia grew up in Texas and has always had a passion for travelling and trying new things. She loves being outside and regularly plays soccer. Before working at Schlumberger she studied for a Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering, and gained work experience through several internships.

"I work in a team on the front line of redesigning a shop floor into a linear flow process. I lead teams towards a common goal while developing a culture of continuous improvement. I work with many different people and I aim to empower the field technicians to improve their work areas using a variety of techniques. I also work on reducing turnaround time for drilling tools in order to have them serviced and ready for offshore jobs as efficiently as possible.

The most crucial skill required to be a Maintenance Engineer is definitely good communication. This is vital to ensuring that all members of the team are onboard and understand any necessary changes.

I love the fact that I can be involved in a project from start to finish, and I know that the work I am doing will add value to the company. Also, being able to change the thought process of employees that have been working in the company for 20 years is very rewarding!”
