Research
Creating, designing, and building the most advanced technology in the industry
A significant portion of our oilfield services revenue is generated from technologies that are less than 5 years old, so we know how important research is. In one year we spend more on R&D than all our competitors combined. And our R&D budget supports fundamental scientific research—not just applied engineering projects.
As the demand for oil and gas increases and the operating environments become more challenging, the need for more sophisticated tools and solutions also increases. The work of our Research Scientists, Research Engineers, and Research Associates is diverse, involving almost all disciplines and applied sciences. To improve the integrity of wells and the safety of industry operations, we’re focusing more on integrated systems, which adds a new level of complexity to system design.
You will be part of a small team dedicated to projects from initial research to final delivery of the manufactured solution. You’ll have opportunities to collaborate with, and learn from, leaders in both technical and academic communities. Throughout your career, you will be encouraged to advance your career through education, training, and professional development.
Successful researchers are high-energy, self-motivated, and have exceptional problem-solving, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
If you have a master of research degree or a PhD in chemical engineering, chemistry, computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, electronics, geology, geophysics, materials science, mathematics, mechanical engineering, petroleum engineering or physics, apply for a position as Research Scientist, Research Engineer, or Research Associate.
