"I was always impressed by the quality of the products and the people."

Taoufik received a Masters degree in Mathematics from the Faculté des sciences de Tunis (Tunisia) in 1985 then an Engineering degree from Ecole des Mines de Nancy (France). He subsequently worked with French research institutes and later for an international engineering group specializing in the underground storage of hydrocarbons, where he became responsible for its reservoir engineering activities.

Taoufik joined the Schlumberger Information Solutions (SIS) organization in 2006, since when he has worked primarily on developing, deploying, and supporting the company’s latest integrated reservoir simulation and oilfield management workflows and software technologies.

“I was first introduced to Schlumberger when I was just a boy. A field engineer showed me an oil platform and I was amazed. I knew Schlumberger could provide a variety of opportunities, and I had visited the company’s Abingdon Technology Centre several times as a client for pre-commercial application testing. Each time I was impressed by the professional quality of the product and the development team. This is why I decided to advance my career with a move to Schlumberger—I wanted to be a part of this professional team. I am still impressed by the quality that I see throughout the organization, and by the dedication of the people I encounter each day.”
