Can you briefly describe your career to date?
I started as an equipment operator trainee (EOT) in early 2011 in Shreveport. I was then transferred to San Antonio in early 2012 and progressed through EO rankings until February 2015 when I went to Field Specialist (FS) 1 School. I completed FS2 School in March 2017. Shortly after, I transferred back to Shreveport, La.
What attracted you to SLB and why did you decide to join us?
My older brother was an FS, so he convinced me to come for an interview.
Can you describe a typical day for you?
A typical day for me as an FS is managing the crew and preparing and setting up each job.
What types of challenges do you face in your job?
Challenges I face as a supervisor include managing up to 20 people at a time on location while running the operation.

What do you enjoy most about working for SLB?
What I enjoy most about working for SLB is the professional relationships developed throughout your career. Working for SLB, I have made friends from all over the world.
What is the working environment like?
My current working environment is a fast-paced, high-stress, but very fulfilling position.
Think back to when you first started... what surprised you the most?
The thing I was most surprised about when I first got to the field was the amount of equipment we use for a single job.
What advice would you give to someone considering a career at SLB?
Be prepared to be challenged.
What is your experience of training at SLB?
By far, SLB will provide you with the best training in the industry.
Why is a career as an EO a good choice versus other roles you could have taken?
Being an EO has allowed me to master all of the stimulation equipment in my own time.
