International Youth Day

Meet our class of 2022 interns: The next generation is ready to go.

At Schlumberger, we are committed to fostering the growth and development of our people. We offer a myriad of internships and apprenticeships for young people, aimed at expanding their skills and instilling a leadership and growth mindset, through ongoing classroom training, digital content, and personalized coaching at various levels through to management.

To mark International Youth Day, which recognizes the importance of addressing age-related barriers that potentially prevent youth in the workplace from leveraging their full potential, we want to introduce you to some of our inspiring interns who joined us this year. Discover how their passion for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) is driving an inclusive and sustainable future for all.

Employee Aryanti.

Meet Aryanti, Recruiting Intern in Indonesia

Aryanti joined Schlumberger as a Recruiting Intern in the Indonesia team five months ago. Since then, she has already taken on early responsibility by planning several successful recruiting events and working with our global team.

After completing her psychology degree at the University of Indonesia, Aryanti decided to join us due to our inclusive culture and the dynamic work environment that the position could offer her. Her role as a recruiting intern involves interacting with students, attending various events, and liaising with our senior leadership.

Having specialized in business leadership during her studies, Aryanti was determined to work in a company with empowering leaders where she could help hire future innovators.

Her advice to anyone considering a role at Schlumberger is simple: “Be adaptable, flexible, and open to new experiences. If you are, the opportunities at Schlumberger are endless.”

Employee Gauri.

Meet Gauri, Software Engineer Intern in the US

Gauri joined Schlumberger two months ago as a Software Engineer Intern in the US team and she couldn’t be more excited about the opportunity.

She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Computer Science at the University of Florida and was thrilled to join Schlumberger as she was immediately drawn by our people-centered and supportive culture.

What Gauri appreciates the most about her internship is that her team truly empowers her to take on tasks she never believed she could have achieved, and the borderless opportunities that the company offers.

In the coming months, Gauri intends to acquire as much knowledge and guidance as possible, continue to meet and collaborate with diverse groups of people, and hopes to apply the concepts she learnt in an actual project.

Her advice for those planning to join Schlumberger: “I would say don’t think twice about it. The experience and support you will get are unmatched.’’

Once he completed his master’s degree in Management with a major in Energy at the ESCP Business School, Jacopo knew he wanted to work in a leading company in the energy sector.

One of the aspects he enjoys most about his internship is the chance to tackle challenges related to the energy industry all while continuously learning and improving his skillset in a multi-faceted environment. He is constantly amazed by the industry-changing technology that Schlumberger offers to enable performance and sustainability for the global energy industry.

He is particularly proud that some of his work illustrating future trends will be presented to the President of Schlumberger New Energy.

Jacopo describes his experience at Schlumberger so far as exciting, demanding, and multicultural. “If you like to travel, meet people from all around the world and work in an extremely dynamic environment, then this is the perfect place for you,’’ he says.
