Description:

The Scrum Master is responsible for delivering enterprise digital solutions and products through architecture design, capacity planning, system health monitoring and sustainable incident response. He / she is responsible for engaging in and improving the whole life cycle of services from inception and design through deployment, operation and refinement. Is also is responsible for ensuring the Scrum team follows the values, principles and practices of scrum and performs at its highest level. The Scrum Master removes impediments so the team can focus on the work: facilitate meetings, work with the Business Product Owner to make sure the product is ready for the next sprint; address team dynamics; and protect the team from outside interruptions and distractions.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for the reliability and uptime appropriate to users’ needs of Cloud solutions and services.
  • Support services before they go live through activities such as system design consulting, developing software platforms and frameworks, capacity planning and PMO checkpoint reviews.
  • Maintain and improve services once they are live by measuring and monitoring availability, latency and overall system health.
  • Scale systems sustainably through mechanisms like automation and evolve systems by pushing for changes that improve reliability and velocity.
  • Collaborate with network and security staff to ensure smooth, secure and reliable operation of application software and systems.
  • Engage in incident response and blameless post-mortems.
  • Manage the agile process. Facilitate meetings such as daily scrum, sprint planning, sprint review and sprint retrospectives. Facilitate discussions, decision making and conflict resolution among team members. Enforce scrum values to help the team achieve improved results.
  • Manage product backlog items using Microsoft VSTS and adopt the CI/CD Pipeline following the DevOps model.
  • Shield the team from external interference and influence.
  • Guide the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values. Promote self-organizing teams; support and educate the Product Owner, especially with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog.
  • Report on project progress. Routinely provide team progress and related scrum metrics to stakeholders, including sprint status, team velocity, burn down and burn up charts, and impediment status.
  • Assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency.
  • Support the team using a servant leadership style whenever possible, and lead by example.
  • Participate in Scrum-at-Scale to review and resolve cross-team impediments.
  • Acts as the main representative from the product lines/program in contact with other organizations on issues of architecture
  • Is a model Schlumberger citizen, promoting safe work procedures in all aspects of the job while maintaining a safe work environment, and promoting compliance with applicable company policies, including Personnel, Quality System, and Health, Safety, and Environment standards and procedures.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Candidates must be located and legally authorized to work in Colombia.
  • Strong verbal and communication skills in both English and Spanish.
  • +4 years of experience with Agile methodologies, project management or business analysis.
  • + 3 years of experience is software development life cycle.
