Location: Jakarta Based

Job Summary:

The Division GeoUnit Controller is responsible for providing business and financial support to the Division GeoUnit Manager and team via an engaged business partnering approach to ensure effective profitability and free cash flow management. He/ she engages with the Division GeoUnit operational organizations to provide business performance insights and forward-looking analysis facilitating business decision-making.

Job Description:

  1. Record Revenue Accrual, conduct Contract Assessment, validate Revenue Recognition Criteria
  2. Perform Revenue Accounting, prepare Tender/Proposal Technical Documentation, prioritize Opportunities for Engagement
  3. Analyze Customer Contract Commercial Performance, Prepare Contract Extension, Prepare Contract Early Termination
  4. Analyze Customer Contract Financial Performance, Develop Income Before Tax Forecast, Develop Direct Contribution Margin Forecast
  5. Review Contract Profitabilityand Review Business Unit Profitability
  6. Drive financial performance thru use of business insight analytics
  7. Develop financial business plans and forecasts for the division in the GeoUnit and ensure that the goals are challenging but realistic relative to overall market expectations and available resources.
  8. Implement action plans to address profitability issues and underperforming contracts.
  9. Optimize cash flow, including key indicators like DSO, CAPEX, inventory. Review and examine the financial impact of new and existing investment opportunities with a view to maximizing the return on investment. Maintain control over and maximum use of working capital.
  10. Support the GeoUnit Tax organization with tax audit inquiries requiring business input, and ensure correct legal entities used for operations (sales & purchases). 
  11. Highlights business-related risks & exposures on Balance Sheet Exposure report, engaging with Hubs as-needed on AR, Inventory, Fixed Assets and key provisions.
  12. Review all major tenders (risks and opportunities), contractual terms and evaluate impact on IBT associated with pricing in bids vs. optimization of people/resources (i.e. FA, Inventory, M&S...).
  13. Monitor and actively participate in management of Business activity and performance metrics managed by the Division.
  14. Review and approve material FTE and non-FTE capital acquisition requests related to operations.
  15. Engage to coach the Division GeoUnit operations management on financial principles, as well as providing advice to financial enquiries.
  16. Participate in managing local alliances and joint ventures.
  17. Responsible for development and coaching of Division GeoUnit Business Analyst.
  18. Train line managers to interpret and comprehend financial statements and principles, and coach them regarding key business Division drivers. Answer inquiries regarding financial assets, recommend policies, and advise and council line management.

Qualification and Behavior:

  • Finance or Accounting Degree or equivalent professional certification, MBA. Proficient in written and spoken English
  • Proficient in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
  • Minimum 8 Years of experience, preference with exposure in Oil and Gas Company
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as Controller
  • Problem Solving: Intermediate project estimation & complexity, creative and innovative quality solutions, analytical oriented, and good decision-making skills.
  • Leadership: functions independently and in a team, project mgt. skills, mentoring skills and can set/accomplish objectives.
  • Communication: Intermediate oral/written communication skills, customer services oriented, and interacts frequently with peer groups, subordinates and senior mgt. advising on area of responsibility.
  • Cross Discipline: Understanding of interaction with other disciplines, Company strategy and the principles of Quality Management.
