What you will be doing

  • Reviews, proposes revisions, negotiates, drafts and develop client contracts whenever necessary using Schlumberger’s guideline
  • Monitors purchase orders to ensure compliance with Schlumberger policies, highlights and reports any deviations from our Client Contracts Risk Standard
  • Assists the Contract Manager in the tender evaluation, assessment, and response process to ensure that ALL contract-related terms and conditions (whether legal or commercial) are properly addressed
  • Manages and administers contract related records in the relevant contracts database such as Ariba, ASL and CMM
  • Collaborates with the Legal Counsel, as appropriate to ensure contractual risks are clearly identified and properly addressed in contractual provisions
  • Assists and supports the Contract Manager and actively participates in all aspects of postaward contract management including (but not limited to) contracts handover, Contract Performance Assessment (CPA), Spend Leakage Contracts Review (SLCR) including follow up of action items of RWPs (in Quest or otherwise)

About You

  • Australian Citizen or PR Holder.
  • Must have a Degree in Law
  • Paralegal Training or certification
  • Minimum 1 - 5 years’ work experience ideally in the Oil & Gas industry, including at least 1 year experience in a role within the Contracts or Legal Departments and/or a Law Firm
  • Good interpersonal communication skills and excellent English
