Job Summary

The Mechanical Technician is responsible for the mechanical assembly and testing of parts, from small connectors to complete tools. These activities involve reading and understanding engineering drawings and procedures, assembling the product according to procedures, and testing the finished product. This position requires weekend and overtime hours.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Participate in all shop activities, including housekeeping and general maintenance of shop tools and equipment.
  • Assemble and test products according to documentation.
  • Fabricate parts from drawings.
  • Operate power tools, including a lathe.
  • Troubleshoot component problems within assemblies.
  • Work though electrical and mechanical problems using general shop tools and power tools.
  • Share knowledge and experience with team members.

Minimum Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or educational equivalent.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience working with mechanical assemblies or military training.
  • Ability to read and work from schematics, engineering and manufacturing drawings, and written or verbal instructions.
  • General oilfield product/equipment operating knowledge.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word programs.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to lift 45 pounds.
  • Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in the US, without sponsorship
