Job Summary:

The Electronics Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for assisting the delivery of products in line with the Production Plan, in collaboration with the workshop technicians and under the supervision of the Production manager. He/she daily collaborates with cross-functional teams, Engineering, Sustaining, Planning, Supply Chain and Quality, to solve complex production issues, to develop technical solutions and to continuously improve manufacturing cost. He/she contributes to the continuous improvement activities and the modernization of the production line to increase efficiency and productivity.

 

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

Manufacturing processes

  • Responsible for implementing manufacturing technics, identifying the critical processes and providing innovative and effective solutions required to manufacture products.
  • Proposing improvements to Engineering, Sustaining and Manufacturing for the design of equipment’s, test set-up, tooling’s, procedures, workflow.
  • Implementing process improvement to achieve manufacturing excellence in areas such as process yield, lead time reduction and productivity.
  • Participates in the review of electrical designs and product files developed by the Engineering and Sustaining teams, in the approval of Engineering Change Orders and in the definition of the Engineering Change Implementation plans that impact inventory.

Quality and continuous improvement

  • Responsible for ensuring that manufacturing technology solutions achieve the requires quality and reliability levels.
  • Take an active role in troubleshooting quality and production yield related issues.
  • For that purpose, participates in test failure and inspection weakness resolution with the local workshop as well as suppliers following the identification of non-conformances or in process deviations.
  • Oversees the product quality incident failure investigations which consists of performing a full root-cause analysis following a client affected failure.
  • In that sense, responsible for performing the immediate cause and root cause analysis as well as defining the remedial work plan and presenting the results of the investigation to Engineering, Manufacturing and Sustaining management.

Qualification:

  • MS: Electrical Engineering
  • 3 years’ experience as technical assignment in manufacturing or in testing or designing electronics

Hard skills

  • Knowledge of electronics design and manufacturing processes, including:
    • PWA/PWB Assembly process,
    • Testing technics and tools,
    • System engineering,
    • Mixed analog and digital design,
    • Power supply analog circuitry
  • Quality technics and tools (Lean, RCA, 5 Whys)
