Job Summary:

One main digital project is moving to change its database. The project is a real time acquisition system that stores high volume and high frequency data. The aim of the creation of a cross-platform data access library (built upon an appropriate database) that supports moderately high-volume indexed data capable of running on edge-device hardware with a minimal memory and cpu footprint. 

 

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

The intern will be in project core team located in Clamart. The project is cross Schlumberger centers and the intern will have meetings with colleagues in Houston. 

The main deliverables for the intern : 

  • write CRUD database layer to evaluate the database performance 
  • benchmark results of database performance 
  • create pipelines for loadtesting and endurance tests 
  • propose deployement process  for production 
  • first migration  - upgrade on core services to persist its data into the new database 

 

Qualification:

  • Master’s degree – 2nd year or final year of Engineering School
