Schlumberger is looking for a Fitter Machinist to join Cameron Valve Services Darwin team.

Cameron is one of the most respected names in the valve business and has the largest global service network for oil and gas valves.



Using your fitting and machining skill to successfully service, repair and test all types of valves, actuators and associated oil and gas equipment.

  • Mechanical fitting - Mainly on valves, actuators and associated oil and gas equipment
  • Machining - Valve and actuator parts and accessories. Insitu machining of all types of pipeline flanges in the workshop and occasionally on site
  • Testing – Pressure and function testing of valves and actuators. Including pressure relief valves.
  • Using general hand tools, manual and hydraulic torque and tensioning equipment.
  • Perform service, maintenance, and repair of insitu machining flange facers, hydraulic torque and tensioning equipment
  • Perform general workshop duties
  • Work safely in accordance with company processes



  • Reside in locally in Darwin or in Australia (company will provide relocation support)
  • Have the full right to live and work in Australia including offshore
  • Hold a Fitter Machinist Trade qualification
  • Have a minimum of 4 years' experience as fitter machinist (or in the mechanical industry)
  • Experience with overhead gantry crane
  • Forklift license is an advantage
  • Prior working knowledge of valves and associated equipment an advantage
  • Knowledge of Oil & Gas industry standards
  • Good English written & verbal communication
