Endpoint Security Engineer

The Endpoint Security Engineer selects engineers and supports the endpoint security solutions deployed onto SLB digital workload, be them on prem or in the cloud.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Possesses detailed knowledge of IT infrastructure and understands the interdependencies of aggregate parts
  • Manages projects from their inception to service management
  • Define, formalize, engineer endpoint security solutions to mitigate exposures.
  • Coordinate testing and deployment of these solutions with IT Infrastructure teams and Commercialization.
  • Review, update, coordinate validation and publish endpoint security standards.
  • Support deployed security solutions in operations.
  • contributes to all services in Endpoint Security’s scope:
    • encryption for data at rest,
    • malware protection tools for containers and computers
    • privileged access management
  • Perform tech watch for new cybersecurity techniques and technologies
  • Contribute to POC evaluations for new cutting edge security tools.

Previous Experience and Competencies:

  • Significant technical understanding and experience, ideally as administrator, of Windows and Linux Operating Systems and their associated security related requirements,
  • Experience in server and VM configuration, management, deployment – a being familiar with Defender, Carbon Black and/or Crowdstrike would be a plus (some of them)
  • Experience in Containers’ configuration, management, deployment – a being familiar with Sysdig, Aqua and Twistlock™ Management and Administration (container security software) would be a plus
  • A moderate understanding of Privileged Account Management solutions
