Job title:

Numerical Finite Element Modelling of Ultrasonic Sensor Response

Location:

Clamart, France

Scope of the internship:

The internship focus on the definition of new concepts for non-destructive ultrasonic testing and prototyping by numerical methods. The internship consists of creating a report of the state-of-the-art techniques for specific non-destructive testing problems.

Responsibilities:

It will be based on an in-depth literature research with focus on selected measurements of ultrasonic sensor electro-mechanical properties and the elastic properties of media.  A second part of the intern’s work is centered on a numerical Finite Element modelling effort to simulate the propagation of ultrasonic waves with suitable sensor geometries and medium properties.  The intern will analyse the data and produce a final summary report.Skills required:

  • Master of Engineering school
  • Autonomous and able to work in a team
  • Appreciate the culture of product delivering, curious to learn and ambitious.
