SLB is looking for a Junior Flow Assurance Engineer to join Perth team.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the OneSubsea sales team to strategically pursue projects and customers that align with OneSubsea’s core technologies and products
  • Work as a part of the OneSubsea’s execution teams to perform the necessary analysis required to verify the flow assurance integrity of the subsea production system to be delivered
  • Perform steady state and dynamic simulations using industry standard software and prepare reports
  • Provide input to operating strategies and philosophies
  • Interface with clients and other contractor organizations
  • Prepare relevant flow assurance documentation (i.e. design basis documents, powerpoint presentations etc.) to document and communicate work in progress and work completed
  • Maintain and develop own competency through training and adequate experience

 

Requirements:

  • Reside in locally in Perth or able to self-relocate (no relocation support)
  • Have the full right to live and work in Australia (no visa sponsorship)
  • Bachelor Degree in either Mechanical, Petroleum or Chemical Engineering (post-graduate Degree would be advantageous) 
  • 2-5 years experience of project experience of which a minimum of 1 are related to Flow Assurance
  • Hands on multiphase fluid flow simulation and design experience by use of simulation software packages such as Pipesim and OLGA
  • Minimum basic fluids knowledge (organic and inorganic solids deposition, PVT)
  • Minimum basic reservoir knowledge
  • Hands on experience in using PVT packages would advantageous
  • Experience from both shallow and deep water operations with feasibility, conceptual, FEED and detailed flow assurance engineering of both single and multi-phase systems would be preferable but not essential
  • Awareness and mitigation methods of flow assurance related issues such as hydrates, paraffins, asphaltenes, oil gelling, corrosion, erosion, solids deposition, scaling, emulsions, etc
  • Good understanding of work processes and technologies involved along the fluid journey from pore to process
  • Experience in running thermal and/or erosional CFD simulations would be regarded highly
  • Good computer skills and be proficient on Microsoft Office suite programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Good organizational skills
  • Good interpersonal skills and able to interface with clients, consultants and vendors 
  • Good communication, writing and presentation skills

  • Ability to write professional technical reports and prepare effective presentations
