The Completions Specialist performs as Crew Leader or Crew Member and is an expert in field operations as well as the service delivery process. The Completions Specialist does hands-on fieldwork using the industry's leading technology that optimizes solutions for energy companies. The primary responsibility of the Completions Specialist is to deliver high quality services to our clients. She/he is responsible for ensuring that the preparation and dispatching of equipment is complete. She/he is directly responsible for the quality of service delivered at the wellsite, in terms of safety, quality and efficiency of operation is up to standard. She/he is in charge of his/her operating cell and is responsible for the training and development of personnel assigned to his/her cell and for the maintenance status of his/her assigned equipment.
  • Reports to the Field Service Manager or to the most senior Field Engineer or Field Specialist.
  • He/she will also fully cooperate/communicate with the Service Quality Coach and Engineer in Charge (EIC).
Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Participates/Leads on Upper Completion Installations and ensures procedures are followed without compromising safety. 
  • Participates/Leads in the job preparation process in accordance with Schlumberger or client specific Quality Plans. 
  • Submits accurate and timely paperwork and job reports and captures any lessons learned. 
  • Communicates on a daily basis with supervisor.
  • Mentor to Junior Field Specialists or Junior Field Engineers 
  • Liaises with the client on location and assists in trouble shooting. 
  • Participates/Leads on Monitoring or Flow Control installations. 
  • Ensures final installation procedures are followed and executes without compromising safety.
  • Organizes equipment logistics from and to rig.
  • Organize and participate actively in the training of his/her operators. 
  • Attend to his/her personal development by following the Completions Training and Competency Development program or post GFE development programs, as applicable.
  • To follow and uphold all QHSE standards and to promote their respect, understanding and adherence. Actively participate in local loss prevention programs. 
  • To control quality of our service during all phases of the operation and to ensure that products of highest quality are delivered to the client. 
  • To perform all reporting and administrative duties concerning the field operations, accurately and in a timely manner. 
  • To ensure that the principles of RITE are systematically applied on all tools and equipment assigned to him/her and to keep it in a state of readiness. 
  • To ensure that the status of all equipment assigned to his/her cell is reported and kept up to date in the RITE/PM system. 
  • To ensure that supplies are available at the wellsite to perform the operation. 
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Minimum High School and 2 to 3 years’ Technical College Associate Degree.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience with installation of lower completions for sand control involving troubleshooting during sand control hardware operations
  • At least 8 years’ experience in installations and troubleshooting in Upper completion installations and accessories including safety valves, isolation valves control lines and production packers.
  • Standalone competency mandatory for installation and troubleshooting for sub-surface safety valves, isolation valves, dual strings, tubing/wireline retrievable systems, non-intervention and mechanical packers, flow control equipment, permanent downhole gauges, intelligent completion, fiber optic technology in land and deep offshore environment including floater facilities. .
  • Standalone competency mandatory for gravel-pack packers, crossover tools, gravel-pack screens with alternate path and other lower completion hard ware and sub-assemblies with respect to installation, trouble shooting and basic maintenance in vertical , extended reach and deviated well both for open and cased  hole completions in land and deep water environment including floater facilities.
  • Computer literate and basic level of proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Fluency in English language with good verbal and written communication skills.
