Job Description


  • Optimizes the Account Reconciliation, Transaction Matching, and Journal entry modules, including but not limited to account setup, match rule construction, metrics, journal entry management, communications to users and leadership and other functionality configurations.
  • Manages and enforces business policies related to reconciliations and works to ensure users complete reconciliations in a timely manner.
  • Incorporate new acquisitions/new locations, setting up in blackline, training, fully integrating into processes and procedures. Identify automation opportunities and create road map for implementing based on biggest efficiency gain for effort required.
  • Provides ongoing end-user support troubleshooting and resolving issues, as well as training to ensure that Blackline is operating efficiently across the organization.
  • Understand and maintain company close schedule, custom frequencies, and user-defined functions.
  • Liaison with IT on user issues, application upgrades, system maintenance, data imports and projects as it relates to Blackline and other integrations to/from the tool.
  • Tests Backline software to ensure that newly implemented and existing functionality is working as intended.




  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Information Technology
  • 3+ years of experience as a Blackline system administrator preferred
  • Familiar with multi basis of reporting (e.g., GAAP, Operational and STAT)
  • Knowledge of SAP ITT/ECC/Optimus is a plus
  • Experience configuring match set rules, approval workflows, risk ratings and provisioning user access
  • Strong troubleshooting skills to monitor and manage data file feeds (inbound and outbound)
  • Proven successful project management expertise
  • Experience with process improvement projects and continuous improvement methodologies with the ability to optimize the use of Blackline modules.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Desire to independently learn new and unfamiliar technologies using documentation and online resources
