Digital Drilling Engineer

The Digital Drilling Engineer (DDE) is responsible for the implementation, adoption and customer support of DrillPlan, DrillOps and Drilling Data projects. The DDE provides digital drilling product support to end users to achieve the defined deliverables and performance as per the scope of work of each specific project. The DDE will provide technical and drilling expertise on how to maximize value of digital tools to the customer. In addition, the DDE will capture software enhancements ideas and communicate to the digital organization. The DDE establishes a trusted relationship with customers and understands their technical challenges. The DDE with in-depth knowledge ensures the quality of service delivery on assigned projects.

Responsibilities

• Advises sales & commercial on technical requirements and bid clarifications responses
• Perform the project technical analysis and potential value of digital solutions based on past wells analysis and project scope of work
• Participates in technical discussions for customer workflow optimization and requirements
• Participates in market segmentation exercises, performs technology gap analysis and helps build the GeoUnit strategy
• Capture leads and opportunities for application of differentiated technology packages
• Initiates engineering corrective action to ensure a process of continuous improvement.
• Promotes cross-domain / cross-business line solutions.
• Leads DrillPlan and DrillOps deployment in the geounit, coordinates with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely delivery for digital drilling projects.
• Holds performance reviews with customers.

Exposures & Experiences

• Degree in Petroleum, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or similar
• 5 years’ experience implementing and utilizing digital drilling solutions like Drill Plan & DrillOps
• 5 years’ experience in Real Time Operations support
• Good communication skills and fluency in English
• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to learn fast
• Safety, Service Quality and Performance focused
