Job Summary:

The Electrical Engineer as part of the Completion Sustaining team is responsible for providing innovative solutions requiring the development or sustaining of new or improved techniques, procedures or products. The Electrical Engineer also assists in planning, conducting and evaluating approaches to meeting the project objectives in a timely fashion.

 

 

Typical Responsibilities and Duties:

 

  • PWA and MCM manufacturing supports (remote troubleshooting, spec, test setup)
  • Electrical tool manufacturing supports (on-site troubleshooting to identify the root case from a system to a component)
  • Support technical issues in oilfield globally
  • Conduct product qualification tests
  • Build a new system and integration in lab
  • Conduct electrical tests in laboratory (Oscilloscope, etc)
  • Technical support for an end-user (design improvement, documentation, communication)
  • Maintain and improve electronic designs (wide range of electronics, digital, communication, etc) and products (technical files, components, schematics, assembly procedures, tool manuals, etc.)
  • Conduct Failure Analysis at board and/or tool level

 

 

Qualifications:

 

  • 5 years+ experience within Electrical Engineering
  • Masters in Electrical Engineering
  • Ability to read schematics on the analog, digital, power electronics
  • Logical mindset to analyze the failure until to identify the root cause
  • Direct hands-on experience with common electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, switches, function generators, multimeters, spectrum analyzers, power analyzers, etc
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal in English
  • English and French language proficiency
  • Experience with firmware
