The Technology Center HSE Manager located in Ville Platte, La is responsible for advising and supporting line management to ensure that the protection of health, safety and environment (HSE) remains an integral part of the business, equal in priority to production and profitability. The Technology Center HSE Manager serves as a role model in applying HSE policies and standards.

  • Develop managers' awareness and ensure HSE principles are an integral part of line management responsibilities and objectives.
  • Develop a competent and motivated HSE organization.
  • Assist general managers, business managers and support functions in reducing accidents year on year toward the ultimate goal of zero accidents.
  • Implement and improve the HSE Management System and its Product Line subsets.
  • Define HSE objectives and prepare the HSE plan, in alignment with corporate HSE objectives, policies, standards and procedures.
  • Liaise with customers, third-party subcontractors and agencies regarding HSE.
  • Define HSE metrics and maintain records.
  • Conduct management review meetings to assess the effectiveness of the HSE Management System and identify required improvements.
  • Provide HSE training to personnel, including contractors, to meet the organization’s needs and requirements for minimum and job-related training.
  • Liaise with training centers to ensure up-to-date training packages.
  • Issue notification, investigate and follow up on accidents and nonconformances, and participate in investigations of major failures and accidents. Advise management on corrective action required.
  • Develop and maintain a high level of awareness and involvement among personnel through prevention and reporting of nonconformances.
  • Lead the HSE audit program and verify compliance through systematic inspections.
  • Develop HSE partnerships with customers, suppliers and contractors, and promote Schlumberger HSE leadership in the Industry.
  • Keep abreast of new developments or policies related to HSE and inform management accordingly.
  • Ensure the Design for HSE (DfHSE) process is effectively implemented for all equipment and products as part of Concurrent Lifecycle Management.
  • Regularly review QUEST information to identify HSE trends and coordinate necessary actions.
  • Act as subject matter expert for HSE and ensures that best practices, lessons learned and alerts are available and distributed via InTouch.
  • Other HSE related requirements as needed. 

 

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Proficient computer skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of miscellaneous manufacturing equipment preferred.
  • ASP/CSP or other OSHA-related certifications a plus.
  • MInimum of 3 years of HSE related experience 

This is not a remote position. Sucessful applicants will be required to be on site.
