Exploitation Manager
Location: Libya
Job Purpose:
The Exploitation Manager is responsible for maximizing asset value through optimal reserves recovery, cost-effective development strategies, and integrated, multidisciplinary solutions. The role ensures effective field development planning and execution while maintaining strong engagement with customer management on asset-related matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee exploitation, reservoir engineering, geology, and geophysics activities for the asset.
- Ensure optimal reserves recovery through effective reservoir management and development strategies.
- Provide technical and managerial oversight of:
- Subsurface and reservoir management
- Drilling and completions
- Workover, remedial, and stimulation operations
- Production engineering and surface facilities
- Supervise multidisciplinary teams including Subsurface, Drilling, Production, and Facilities Engineering personnel assigned to the asset.
- Drive field development planning and execution, ensuring alignment with asset objectives.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders, acting as a primary interface on asset-related topics.
- Implement and manage portfolio and project control processes (budget, scope, and schedule).
- Ensure effective application of asset management principles, including capital planning and project execution.
- Establish and enforce asset management processes across:
- Risk management
- Contractor and procurement management
- Human resources
- Quality and communications
- Maximize asset value by balancing cost, schedule, and production performance.
- Promote and leverage synergies across assets, departments, and within SPM.
- Maintain regular communication and alignment with the SPM team.

- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent understanding of integrated asset management and field development.
- Ability to manage complex projects and portfolios.
- Strong commercial awareness (cost control, value optimization).
- High-level decision-making and problem-solving capabilities.
- Effective communication and client-facing skills.
Additional Requirements :
- Willingness to work in remote or field locations and adapt to challenging environments.
- Experience working in international or culturally diverse environments is an advantage.
- Ability to operate in a dynamic and evolving operational context.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Geology, or related discipline (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 10–15 years of experience in oil & gas operations, with strong exposure to exploitation and field development.
- Proven experience in asset management, reservoir optimization, and integrated project delivery.
- Strong background in multidisciplinary operations (subsurface, drilling, production, and facilities).
- Previous leadership experience managing cross-functional teams.
- Experience in complex environments (onshore/offshore, mature or brownfields) is highly desirable.
