Job Summary
The Completions Well Intervention Superintendent (onshore role) shall manage onshore/offshore coordinators at the bases designated by the client in cities where operational bases exist and where operational activities and/or intervention planning activities are performed.
The scope of this professional includes coordinating the entire well intervention process, from the initial planning stage through the issuance of the final post-operation reports.
Responsibilities
- Expedite and support the preparation of intervention engineering programs developed by the CLIENT through a collaborative planning approach, always focusing on safety, environmental protection, resource optimization, and operational efficiency.
- Expedite the preparation of operational programs and execution sequences in alignment with the approved intervention program, always focusing on safety, environmental protection, resource optimization, and operational efficiency.
- Monitor operations performed on rigs contracted by the CLIENT throughout the entire execution period
- Present studies and simulations related to the planning and execution of operations
- Ensure that all personnel involved in the intervention project, both onshore and offshore, have a complete understanding of the current and historical well status, as well as the planning for upcoming operational phases.
- Lead the entire Management of Change (MOC) process for execution programs associated with each activity whenever required, documenting instructions to field personnel
- Notify and support the CLIENT specialized technical team regarding anomalies with potential lost-time impact (delayed, incomplete, or defective operations), such as equipment failures, for joint decision-making and approval by the CLIENT.
- Actively participate in technical and operational meetings requested by the CLIENT.
- Maintain accountabilities for all activities under execution within the assigned scope of responsibility.
- Review execution programs and report any disagreements to the CLIENT specialized technical team prior to commencement of operations.
- Ensure compliance with CLIENT technical and procedural requirements, including adherence to established workflows, communications, and activity planning processes.
- Inform the CLIENT of situations involving logistics required for delivery, customs clearance, loading, and unloading of cargo (materials and equipment, including consumables, spare parts, and other relevant items).
Minimum requirements
- Bachelor’s degree complete in Engineering
- Professional registration CREA active
- Experience in well completion, intervention, and abandonment operations.
- Experience in managing people and resources
- Advanced English, fluent Portuguese
- Proved residence in Brazil and legal paper to work
