QC Inspector - Level 2

This role is stationed in Port Klang and is responsible to carry out inspection & test activities in accordance with procedure / ITP and specifications. Ensure good quality parts are released to customer/client. Documents are reviewed and submitted on time.

- To always work in a safe manner, to comply with all current safety legislation and SLB OneSubsea safety policy (Life Saving Rules)
- Inspect products to ensure that it meets quality standards and SLB OneSubsea Quality Policy
- Work to ISO 9001 quality system requirements
- Be aware of KPI’S and performance metrics driving adherence to target
- Work to project specific quality plans
- Foster the management’s desire for commitment to quality
- Witness/monitor assembly and testing activities ensuring that products are within design criteria limits
- To perform complete inspection for first article and final product inspection accordance to GA drawing and documentation / certification review ensuring product conforms to requirements
- Coordinate NDT activities with NDT sub-contractors
- Review NDT reports and liaise with client representatives to endorse the reports
- Complete good-Inward inspection to drawing and / or data sheet including certification completeness to purchase order (apply to incoming QC Inspector)
- Co-ordinate site received testing; ensuring incoming goods conform to requirements (apply to Incoming QC Inspector)
- To report all defects through the defect reporting system (SAP), and follow up to ensure close out of actions NCR
- Assist in root cause investigation of non-conformance
- Ensure that all work identified in the work packs is completed and signed off
- Ensure all calibrated equipment used within the build and test process is within calibration dates
- Ensure workshop is maintained in a safe and tidy manner always
- Continually improve performance using lean techniques including full adherence to 5s
- Plan and coordinate activities in accordance with stablished work methods and procedures
- Have an ongoing identification of areas to improve quality working towards continuous quality improvement
- To meet department KPI’s (Start on time 90%, On time delivery >90%, Quality First pass Yield >98%, Efficiency 98% - 102%
- Any other tasks as may be reasonably assigned from time to time
- To assist and guide QC Level 1
- Manage external stakeholder with discussion and plan inspection & test activities and meeting with client/client representatives to sign off document for product release. (With Customer, Customer representative, Sub-contractors)
- Manage internal stakeholder with inspection & test activities. (With Workshop / Project Manager, Cell Controller, Technician, Engineer, QC/MC Inspector)
- Type of Challenges:
- Dealing with client and understanding client specifications
- To work with production and ensure production works are executed as per HSSE & Quality requirement’s
minimum diploma and above
