SLB is seeking a motivated DCN HR Representative to support our Data Center infrastructure solutions business. The HR Representative is responsible for providing support to line managers in managing the talent management cycle using SLB tools and processes as well as supporting and cultivating engagement among employees.
This position is based in Calgary, Alberta.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Dedicate face time to support employees through interaction and feedback.
- Conduct employee information meetings on employment policies, benefits and compensation.
- Act as first point of contact for employees regarding employee relations issues and concerns about motivation and job satisfaction.
- Assist business and line managers with interpreting and administering HR policies and programs.
- Raise exemptions as required per the relevant policy and process.
- Support line management with the talent management process using HR tools and processes, including performance appraisals, career planning, succession planning, career orientation reviews, Schlumberger Eureka Technical Careers, General Field Engineer controls, identifying high-value employees and performance rewards.
- Support employee engagement initiatives.
- Coordinate internal and external training and recruitment activities.
- Screen and review employment applications and interview applicants as required.
- Assist in organizing internal team-building events and local community events.
- Assist with coaching and developing new team members.
- Maintain a good grasp of HR and business issues.
- Participate in initiatives aimed continuously improving HR performance and employee motivation.
- Ensure compliance with the Data Privacy and Protection Guidelines and relevant legislation.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications And Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field.
- 3+ years’ experience working in Employee Support, HR Generalist or Employee Relations.
- Experience providing HR support in manufacturing / plant environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of Office365 tools especially MS Teams, MS Excel, Outlook and MS SharePoint.
- Experience working with SuccessFactors and/or other HRIS systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- CPHR designation is an asset.
- Knowledge of relevant provincial employment legislation.
- Adaptability and growth mindset required.
- Ability to work under pressure and deadlines as well as experience working in diverse environments.
- Must be a team player and possess a strong work ethic and confidentiality.
- Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in Canada, without sponsorship.
