Wireline Field Operator

SLB is seeking a detail-oriented and safety-focused individual to join our Nisku Team as a Wireline Field Operator. In this role, you will service wireline tools and wireline trucks, support field operations, and accurately enter job and equipment details into internal systems. You will work with advanced wireline logging tools for both open hole and cased hole environments while collaborating closely with field and maintenance crews to ensure equipment readiness. 

We are looking for someone who thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced environment, takes ownership of their work, and continuously looks for ways to improve service delivery. This role offers the opportunity to build technical expertise, contribute directly to operational performance, and support safe and efficient wellsite execution. 

 

Roles and Responsibilities 

  • Service and maintain wireline tools and wireline trucks, ensuring equipment is in proper working condition. 

  • Participate in pre-job and Toolbox meetings with crew members to support safe operations. 

  • Support field and maintenance crews in preparing and readying equipment for rig-up and rig-down operation. 

  • Accurately enter job, equipment, and operational details into internal systems. 

  • Identify opportunities to improve service delivery and operational efficiency. 

  • Work on rotational shifts for field-based assignments. 

Qualifications and Experience 

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent. 

  • Oilfield experience is an asset. 

  • Familiarity with Electronic Logbooks (ELDs) is preferred. 

  • Valid Class 3 driver’s license required; Class 1 is an asset. Both require a clean driving record. 

  • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions and high-stress field environments.
