This role provides onsite technical/field & admin support in alignment to contract requirements for ChampionX customers. This position serves as a developmental opportunity within ChampionX, providing exposure to both sales and technical functions.
What You will do
Field/Technical Support:
Calls on customer facilities and observes and implements practical application of products. Services assigned accounts. Recommends changes in chemical dosages, flow rates, or equipment. Reports changes or problems to Account/ Area Manager and then customer.
Begins to work with existing customers to seek new applications for existing products. With assistance from senior sales personnel and the Area Manager, develops and executes account sales plans.
Upon attaining the required level of technical competency and sales skills, assumes both sales and service responsibilities within an assigned territory.
Demonstrates safe driving techniques and maintains company vehicles and equipment in a neat and professional manner.
Supports and is committed to ChampionX Quality Improvement Processes and the guiding principles of Operational Excellence.
Carry out routine sampling and onsite analysis, including collecting production water, oil, and gas samples from field equipment. Perform basic field tests such as water quality checks, solids assessments, and ATP testing. Use these results to identify issues in chemical performance or system conditions and support troubleshooting activities in coordination with the Account or Area Manager.
Ensure customer contract requirements are met through consistent, high‑quality service delivery.
Build and maintain strong working relationships across all levels of the customer’s organization.
Manage field-related supplies by ordering equipment, consumables, and materials as required to support ongoing operations.
Sales Admin Support:
Adds products and change pricing to customer pricing in SAP
Submits and tracks Billing Arrangements
Uploads invoices into customer portals, raises credits and/or rebills as required
Set up and maintenance of customer master data
Liaises with customers over any incorrect details on Purchase Orders
Monitors current orders to ensure they are delivered on time
Liaises with Supply Chain for incoming orders into the respective facilities
Provides customers with updates on orders, monitoring and actioning aged invoices
Submits service invoicing requests and consolidates monthly invoicing
Uploads contractor certificates to customer portals
Supports vendor setups and/or changes to existing vendors
Codes and approves vendor invoices
Books staff training & medicals
Assists with travel approvals and bookings
Safety Responsibilities
Adhere to company OHS policies, procedures and rules and follow safe work practices.
Participate in team consultation meetings to discuss workplace safety in the department.
Report any hazards as soon as you notice them and participate in risk assessments as requested. Assist in the identification of control measures to
eliminate or minimize the risk of injury. Effective utilization of OHS reporting tools.
Attend OHS training as required.
Job requirements
Minimum Requirements*
Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Science. Fresh graduates or university degree with less than 2 years experience
Self-starter and motivated team player
Excellent work ethic
Basic Knowledge in Total Chemical Management, oil & gas production systems, Phase Separation, Flow assurance, integrity management, water injection, chemical application facilities and utility system
Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Science.
Experience working with and knowledge of computers (e.g., MS Office suite)
Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
Excellent organization and follow-up skills
Ability to work independently, under pressure, and with little direction
Ability to succeed in a competitive environment
Valid Driver's license
Fluency in English and country specific language
