Dynamic Pressure Management Supervisor

Location: Neuquen - Argentina

The Dynamic Pressure Management (DPM) Field Specialist (Supervisor) is responsibe for the delivery of high quality operations including pre-planning and logistics, supervision of all on-site DPM personnel, and delivery of end-of-well performance summary reports. The candidate works in a team at the wellsite and will provide strategic customer information. This is primarily a field position and requires shift work with a typical shift length of 12 hours, however, including change over between shifts and attending required meetings, the average day may be 14 hours. If a problem with the system occurs when employee is off shift they will be called upon to troubleshoot and repair the problem. The position reports to the PSD Manager.

Successful DPM Supervisors have an advanced understanding of mechanics and hydraulics and a basic understanding of electronics and interfacing protocols. With current knowledge of slinging and lifting over head loads they understand the dangers of; energized fluids and associated equipment;  noxious fumes and working around high-pressure lines. They understand process and information diagrams and flow systems, are familiar with drilling issues and understand the dangers of O2 deficient atmospheres. Service quality, job preparation and planning and job safety are their key priorities.They are competent with Microsoft office products  and have excellent written and oral communication skills  and can communicate with both technical and non technical personnel.  They are self-directed and motivated and demonstrate sound decision making. They are career oriented and have the ability to work long hours in stressful situations.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoots for field operations.
  • Constantly monitors, maintains and calibrates equipment and instrumentation at the location.
  • Recommends new approaches and specifications for new and existing equipment, software and procedures and maximizes efficiency of equipment within operating parameters
  • May assist in managing optimum pressure control to achieve drilling objectives.
  • Manages customer relationship and expectations on-site.
  • Assists in operating and maintaining database and data collection at wellsite.
  • Ensures proper and adequate data is collected and reported.
  • Assists in updating and calibrating software to meet specific requirements.
  • Complies with all company and regulatory HS&E and Quality and IT standards and policies.
  • Wears all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Diploma in a technical field, preferably mechanical, electronical or instrumentation, or the equivalent industry experience.
  • Minimum five years’ related DPM experience prior to becoming the lead wellsite supervisor.
