Multiclient Region New Ventures and Asset Development lead- Norway 

Job Summary:

As Multiclient Region New Ventures and Asset Development lead is to provide focal point and leadership in the identification, conception and commercialization of new Multiclient (MC) investments that grow and enhance the value of the Schlumberger existing Multiclient portfolio. Develop and maintain required government relations and associated agreements to enable and maintain all Multiclient business within an assigned geographical territory.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Identify and conceive new Multiclient investments that both expand and upgrade the existing portfolio through new acquisition and reprocessing of existing surveys
  • Prioritize, present, and recommend MC projects that are consistent with Region and Schlumberger strategy
  • Lead plan to ensure group effort is focused on successful completion of project, meeting costs, pre-commitment expectations, time deadlines etc.
  • Communicate with internal and external customers to insure effective client pre-commitment engagement
  • Liaise with the Geology & Interpretation team to provide necessary input to the prospectivity of the project area, supporting new team members of the team to understand business and commercial objectives of new multiclient investments
  • Promote Multiclient business through government and partner relations
  • Collaborate with the Sales team to develop and execute a pre-commitment strategy and ensure transition to a late sales process with the definition of an effective and appropriate pricing strategy for the project
  • Presentation of MC data and associated geophysical and geological information to managed account(s) coordinating with Sales and obtaining assistance from the Geology and Interpretation Group as required
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team on initiatives such as Client Open Days, Technology Updates, Data Viewing Sessions and Road shows
  • Suggest marketing initiatives to Operations and Commercial, Sales & Marketing to promote projects, such as advertising and direct marketing plus planned conference participation and technical papers
  • Coordinate with Customer Services to communicate all required information for sales transactions and ensure an efficient post sales process and follow up as required with account(s) including supporting the CFR system as necessary
  • Employees may be assigned other duties, in addition to or in place of those described above, and any duties are subject to change at any time, according to the needs of the location or Company

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master's Degree in Geoscience or related discipline
  • Norwegian language preferred
  • Petro Technical Experts with a minimum 15+ years of related geosciences experience in oil and gas industry
  • Subject Matter Experts on Exploration activities and Processes
  • Commercial acumen through education or professional means
  • Good understanding of the hydrocarbon business in order to identify viable exploration projects
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse community
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems
  • Creativity, initiative, and ability to work under pressure
  • Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in Norway.
