SCOPE AND SUBJECT OF THE OPENINGS
We are looking to recruit several interns that share our passion for software craftmanship to join the teams in Oslo, Stavanger and Bergen developing commercial software products and services for the global energy industry.
Our Digital Technology group is responsible for enterprise architecture and infrastructure development for cloud, data, UX and cybersecurity across Platforms. It comprises 12 digital technology centers worldwide, including Schlumberger Norway Technology Center [SNTC]. SNTC is our Center of Excellence for Geology, Geophysics, Drilling, Flow Assurance and Asset Optimization. We develop state of the art software applications for upstream oil and gas. Our activities span from software engineering to customer support, from technical documentation to quality assurance.

Given our focus on the geosciences, we also particularly welcome applications from geophysicists, geologists, data scientists and mathematicians keen on programming, who may for example work on commercializing new innovative algorithms..
Interns typically are assigned a mentor and work within a project team responsible for developing aspects of the Schlumberger software portfolio which spans from cloud and web-based applications to computationally intensive scientific modelling systems. Interns will experience first-hand professional software development in a dynamic environment and an exciting industry.
Studying towards a Bachelor or Masters in Computer Science, the Geosciences, Mathematics or related field. We recruit all-year-round. Internship start date and duration are flexible.
