The Electronics Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for assisting the delivery of products in line with the Production Plan, in collaboration with the workshop technicians and under the supervision of the Production manager. He/she independly collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop technical solutions and processes and resolve production issues in collaboration with Engineering, Sustaining, Planning, Supply Chain and Quality. He/she contributes to the continuous improvement activities and the modernization of the production line to increase efficiency and productivity.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
He/she is responsible for implementing manufacturing technics, identifying the critical processes and providing innovative and effective solutions required to manufacture products. He/she is proposing improvements to Engineering, Sustaining and Manufacturing for the design of equipment’s, test set-up, tooling’s, procedures, workflow.
He participates in the review of electrical designs and product files developed by the Engineering and Sustaining teams, in the definition of Engineering Change Implementation plans, and in the approval of Engineering Change Orders, under the supervision of the Production manager.
The Electronics Manufacturing Engineer is also responsible for ensuring that manufacturing technology solutions achieve the required quality, reliability and consistency levels. He/she takes an active role in troubleshooting quality and production yield related issues. For that purpose, he/she participates in test failure and inspection weakness resolution with the local workshop as well as suppliers following the identification of non-conformances or in-process deviations.
Finally, he/she oversees the product quality incident failure investigations which consists of performing a full root-cause analysis following a client affected failure. In that sense, he/she is responsible for performing the immediate cause and root-cause analysis as well as defining the remedial work plan and presenting the results of the investigation to Engineering, Manufacturing and Sustaining management.
