eCommerce Business Analyst

Cota - Colombia

Schlumberger has an opening in Bogota, Colombia for an eCommerce Business Analyst, who will be responsible for working with the eCommerce team in developing, deploying and maintaining all aspects (technical and functional) of eCommerce business processes.

The Schlumberger eCommerce Team has more than 20+ years of experience implementing Electronic Invoicing B2B (eInvoicing) and Fiscal Electronic Invoicing with customers worldwide. The eCommerce team’s goal is to improve and deploy the best in class digital billing processes to support efficiently all business segments, customers, and GeoMarkets for Schlumberger’s global operations.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage EDI projects
  • Build integrations with new external partner systems using IBM Sterling B2B Integrator and/or other company approved integration software
  • Gather customer (internal and external) requirements for eCommerce integration projects
  • Build EDI transaction messages (PIDX standard) to meet customer specific requirements
  • Provide eCommerce related support to internal and external business functions
  • Build and adapt EDI integrations across internal functional areas
  • Identify and implement EDI system process improvements
  • Provide daily oversight and monitoring of EDI transactions
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve both technical and functional issues
  • Collaborate with internal operations and external customers on contract pricing issues related to eCommerce processes
  • Manage, develop, consult on eCommerce related projects as assigned by management
  • Foster professional relationships with internal and external peers and stakeholders


  • IBM Sterling B2B Integrator (B2Bi)
  • IBM Sterling B2B Integrator mapper tool
  • XSLT mapping (translating XML, SAP IDOC, Flat files, HTML)
  • SAP – troubleshooting invoice issues
  • Knowledge of communication protocol (e.g. HTTP/S, SOAP, Web Services, RNIF2, etc)
  • Follows the technical governance (standards, best practices, etc.)


  • Engage with the business segments and internal stakeholders to capture eCommerce business process requirements
  • Work closely with other internal stakeholders associated with eCommerce

External Presence

  • Engage with Schlumberger’s customers and their 3rd party technology providers to gather requirements and implement B2B eCommerce processes
  • Participate in technical forums and other appropriate events as approved by management

Qualifications and Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience working with IBM Sterling B2B Integrator (BP development and mapping); experience with similar middleware integration and mapping tool would be considered (Tibco, Seeburger, BizTalk)
  • Should be familiar with SAP IDOC and XML document structures
  • In depth knowledge of EDI standards and communication protocols (PIDX, X12, RNIF2)
  • 2+ years of fiscal electronic invoicing experience; preferred - Colombia and Mexico
  • Strong ability to troubleshoot and problem solve
  • Bonus – experience programming in Java, JSON, REST APIs
  • Bachelor¹s degree in Information Technology or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in implementing EDI/eCommerce solutions
  • 1+ years of experience working with integration software preferably IBM Sterling B2B Integrator
  • Fluent in English. Excellent communication, verbal and written skills

Key Outputs & Accountabilities

Complete deliverables within SLAs, respond to customer’s inquiries, display sound judgment in the handling of production incidents and ensure effective communication maintained with internal and external contacts.
