Job Summary:

  • Carries ultimate responsibility for all business opportunities across Japan and drives sales across all D&I offerings
  • Coordinates product and solution sales opportunities with sales engineers and domain experts
  • Maintains customer database
  • Maintains strong client relationships across client organization from users through senior client executives
  • In charge of overall proposal preparation for all quotations, tender preparation and finalization with assistance from sales engineers and/or domain experts who in turn are responsible for the technical documentation and solution proposed within the quotation or tender
  • In charge of legal and financial negotiation of all RFP’s, tenders, and contracts in coordination with related internal specialists
  • Assists finance department in resolving outstanding collection issues
  • Monitors competition, market share and pricing

This position requires you to be a highly motivated sales professional working within a successful team environment, reporting to the Japan Sales Lead. You will be based in Tokyo and will require travel domestic / overseas to attend industry events and training sessions.

Qualifications:

  • History of successfully meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • Energy, enthusiasm and entrepreneurship 
  • Creative skills for sales & business presentation
  • Superior interpersonal skills including meeting facilitation
  • Strong understanding of consultative and solutions selling
  • Solid understanding of customer-facing sales processes
  • Working knowledge of Cloud (SaaS), Software License and Technical Consulting Service Sales
  • Ability to work within a matrix organization
  • 3+ years of proven sales experience (preference given to candidates with Upstream or Midstream in Oil and Gas or Digital/IT Technologies Sales or Consulting experience)
  • BS/BA or MS/MBA degree
