The Manufacturing Welder is responsible for fitting, tacking, and welding fabricated and other components into assemblies according to blueprints, sketches, instructions, and using knowledge of welding characteristics of metal. They will select equipment, plan layouts, assemble, and weld while applying knowledge of geometry, physical properties of metals, effects of heat, allowances for thickness, machining, weld shrinkage, and welding techniques.
Successful Position holders are excellent communicators, enjoy solving problems, and work well in teams.
