The Manufacturing Master Planner is responsible for analyzing demand forecasts and incoming customer demands to optimally plan for necessary on-hand inventory levels. The Manufacturing Master Planner is also required to evaluate incoming customer demands to confirm a sustainable. The Master Planner will need to work closely with production staff to execute the master schedule to maintain maximum on time delivery status as required by customers.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Load the Master Schedule through the planning time fence to the volume specified by the production plan. Resolve demand and supply imbalances in volume and mix.
  • Develop and manage all scheduling, capacity and production tracking data, statistics and metrics as defined by the Master Schedule policy.
  • Optimize inventory levels. Implement continuous improvement plans and actions to continually reduce waste, decrease cycle time and increase throughput.
  • Manage work order and purchase order creation, release and completion.
  • Participate in the creation of a Master Schedule policy.
  • Review and manage change requests from customers, production and suppliers, making appropriate reschedules in accordance with the Master Schedule policy.
  • Allow no past dues in the Master Schedule.
  • Develop and maintain planning data, safety stock, lead times and lot sizes.
  • Monitor forecast consumption and the proper use of Available to Promise.
  • Inform appropriate individuals, per the Master Schedule policy, of any issues that cannot be handled within the framework of that policy.
  • Use the guiding principles and tools of the Manufacturing System to drive continuous improvement, wherever applicable.

Minimum Job Qualifications:

  • Degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain or Manufacturing (BSci minimum)
  • Expert understanding of Oracle ERP
  • Minimum of 5 years working as a planner
  • Must be able to legally work and reside in the US without sponsorship
