Job Summary

The Geomodeler is a multidisciplinary integrator who works in the areas of Geology with knowledge of Geophysics, Geochemistry, Petrophysics and Risk Analysis, this makes it easy for him to work on a wide variety of projects, including the interpretation of a single well, the exploratory evaluation, integrated reservoir studies and field development planning. He has a solid understanding of static model building, geophysics, petrophysics, basin analysis, Schlumberger S.A. logging tools, and Petrel Software.


Roles & Responsibilities


  • Comply with government laws, policies and standards established by the company, ensuring that all QHSE risks that are part of the operations are identified, understood and mitigated; in addition to dissemination to contractor companies.

Operations Integrity

  • Comply with operational integrity standards (Well Integrity, PSIM, SQ, etc).
  • Ensure technical and operational integrity of plans and activities. Evaluate the inherent risks and mitigation actions of the activities under their responsibility. Report all SQ events in a timely manner and with the correct severity in accordance with SLB STD 02. Monitor and verify action plans for reported events and timely close assigned actions, including closing evidence. Actively participate in quality event investigations. Explore new technologies/techniques applicable to improving the quality of the activities in charge. Monitor the impact of quality deviations on your discipline and/or assets. Participate in the performance evaluation of contractors or third parties. Implement relevant lessons learned for future activities.


Minimun Job Qualifications

  • Education: Geological Engineering / Geologist.
  • Languages: Inglés intermedio - avanzado.
  • Experience: Up to 10 years of experience in similar positions
  • Static model of clastic reservoirs.
  • Field development projects or production projects. Integrated Reservoir Studies or static characterization projects. Drilling, Completion and Workover Operations
  • Residence in Ecuador.
