US Tax Planning Manager

Sugar Land - United States

The US Tax Planning Manager is responsible for tax planning matters in respect of US structure, including cross border intercompany transactions.

Roles and Responsibilities: 

  • Review and monitor transfer pricing initiatives and documentation.
  • Review intercompany agreements and practices.
  • Assist in the development of effective tax and legal strategies to help achieve business goals.
  • Develop and implement long-term tax planning structures.
  • Maintain and support existing tax plans in-line with corporate policies and structure guidelines.
  • Monitor compliance and evaluate effectiveness of existing tax planning structures.
  • Provide support for major acquisitions, divestment, and restructuring of business alliances.
  • Support the evaluation of new and prospective tax legislation.
  • Support evaluation of energy tax credit opportunities and initiatives.
  • Support tax audits, as required.
  • Coordinate with external advisors, as required.
  • Assist the US Operations Tax Manager on special projects.

Qualifications and Experience: 

  • 5-7 years of Experience
  • Public Accounting
  • Tax Planning and Tax Accounting
  • Accounting degree, emphasis in Tax
  • Candiates must be able to legally work and reside in the US, without sponsorhsip.
