Business Analyst

The Business Analyst is responsible for the overall financial analysis, performance, and profitability of a Business Line in a Division or Basin. The Business Analyst provides financial Support to the Basin Division Controller and Business Line Business Manager or Division Manager-GeoUnit via an engaged business partnering approach to ensure effective profitability and free cash flow management by assessing business trends, developing root causes of business issues, complying with Division accounting practices and identifying opportunities for reduced costs and improved productivity/efficiency, each significant business decision is given sound financial consideration.

Roles and Responsibilities: 

  • Closely support Collection / Credit team for Customer Invoice dispute management, Partner with Credit, Sales, Operations to resolve Customer invoice disputes and thereby timely
  • Ensure Credit breaches, collection issues are timely communicated to Business Line to mitigate risk with Customer Activity collection,
  • Ensure Capex spend is planned and efficient returns, Inventory management ensures optimal store level by category
  • Complete monthly financial reviews and reports, monitor results versus objectives, highlight underlying reasons for variances, and suggest corrective actions.
  • Preparation of Rolling Forecast Financials forecasts and ensure that goals are challenging but realistic relative to the overall market expectations and available resources.
  • Ensure that financial transactions are recorded in compliance with company policies and procedures, and ensure adherence to corporate ethical policies and internal controls.
  • Organize periodic audits internally and assist in external audits.
  • Participate in Balance Sheet Review with the Financial Hubs and adherence to Balance Sheet Exposure submission and risk mitigation.
  • Establish process and continuous monitoring of Revenue leakage including audits. Monitoring Financial KPIs and ensuring action plans to achieve in line with Corporate Objectives.
  • Monitoring Financial Ratios DSO, ROCE, ROIC, FCF to maximize returns and Free Cash Flow. Ensure working with  Business Line Managers to improve under-performing business units
  • Streamlining and improving reporting by Identifying and automating manual tasks
  • Implement and adoption of Data Analytics
  • Understand and comply with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements as defined in the risk control matrix.
  • Ensure that financial transactions are recorded in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to corporate ethical policies and internal controls. Organize periodic audits internally and assist in external audits.
  • Customer Profitability Analysis
  • Analyze and report Customer Contract Financial Performance metrics
  • Prepare and support Tender Financials including Financial Ratios and provide Financial interpretations on Tender strategies

Qualifications and Experience: 

  • 3-5 years of overall Combined accounting and Finance or Tax Planning experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business
  • Preferred: Advanced degree in Accounting, CPA or CMA
  • Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in the US, without sponsorship
