The Receptionist is responsible for meeting and greeting visitors and customers at Reception, and directing them to their appointment or meeting place. The Receptionist presents the corporate face of Schlumberger to the public and employees, and helps create the first impression that each visitor receives. This person is familiar with company standards and corporate image, and ensures seamless front desk assistance to staff and visitors.


  • Handle complex and confidential secretarial and administrative assignments.
  • Perform secretarial duties as required, including: Type and proofread formal letters, interoffice correspondence and miscellaneous documents; compose correspondence and responses to inquiries independently.
  • Answer telephone and handle requests for information at an advanced level.
  • Set up and maintain department records and files.
  • Arrange travel schedules and reservations.
  • Supervise and train others.
  • Monitor accuracy, completeness and timeliness of all critical business systems transactions.
  • Coordinate meetings and office communications.
  • Schedule conference rooms, audio/visual equipment and other materials as requested.
