Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Performs all technical duties to support Manufacturing activities in one of the functional areas: electrical or mechanical.
  • Completes tests, measurements, operations or process controls including those that require an advanced level of creativity and technical comprehension.
  • Conducts very complex troubleshooting to correctly diagnose product, process, or program defects and repair them.
  • Exercises a high amount of independent judgment and must be able to recognize and handle nonstandard occurrences and problems in most of their work.
  • Assists other technicians in their duties, conducting training, and ensuring that the cell or group meets goals.
  • Provides independent technical support of the assigned area, including equipment or software maintenance, documentation of procedures, designated cost decisions, vendor interfacing, and other duties relating to the support of systems and/or facilities.\
  • Able to understand and apply key Manufacturing concepts.
  • Follows all applicable safety requirements at all times.
  • Testing and validation of manufacturing products in accordance with the highest level of quality
  • Ensuring on time delivery to the customer

Qualifications and Experience:

  • An associates degree in the functional area (BS in Engineering preferred).
  • A minimum 8 years’ experience in the functional area
  • Certified in industry workmanship standards (IPC 610, 620, etc)
  • Understand international standards for process control (ISO 9001 etc)
  • Advanced understanding of Lean/6S Manufacturing concepts
  • Advanced understanding of basic manufacturing processes (WO, BOM, Routings, Non-Conformances, Data collection, checklists etc)
  • Understand the functions of the following groups;
    • Planning
    • Procurement
    • Manufacturing Engineering
    • Sustaining
    • Engineering
  • Ability to understand production KPIs (RTY, FPY, On-Time Delivery, Turn-around time etc…) and adjust work as needed
  • Understanding of  document revision control
  • Understanding of equipment maintenance & calibration and ability to perform required tasks
  • Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in the US, without sponsorship
