The DELFI cognitive Exploration & Production (E&P) environment is a collaborative technology that unites the E&P life cycle in the cloud. It’s open, secure, scalable, and fully managed, seamlessly connecting people, data and leading software applications across exploration, development, drilling, production and midstream—all delivered through a flexible and personalized SaaS subscription model.   

Montpellier Technology Center oversees multiple DELFI projects and services. This position is linked to our DELFI Modeling applications. In our Modeling team, we are building digital geological applications representing the subsurface in a reliable way. Our digital models are key in understanding the history of the subsurface and its structure, enabling to find hydrocarbons and drill wells in complex environments. 

 

Job Summary:

 

You will be working in an international environment with people collocated in Montpellier and you will collaborate with teams in other SLB locations across the world. Most communication will be in English. 

From a technical perspective, our front-end is built with Angular 14 in Microsoft Azure cloud environment and we are automatically testing our application using Cypress and Jest. We are using Git as version control system and Azure DevOps for automated builds, testing, requirements and release management. 

 

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

• Build sophisticated and elegant user interfaces. 
• Collaborate with user experience and visual designers, developers and product owners to implement scalable and interactive applications.
• Provide technical leadership and documentation to developers and stakeholders.
• Build prototypes, products and systems that meet the project quality standards and requirements.
• Contribute to or re-use common components that are well documented and tested.
• Interact and engage with customers, users, product owners and technical architects to understand needs and increase the positive impact on users’ experience.

 

Qualifications and competencies:

• Fluent in English 
• Ability to build conversations and relationships with people from various backgrounds and cultures  
• Highly collaborative, you prefer to work in a team rather than alone 
• Confident and open to feedback, you have a strong self-development and continuous improvement mindset 

 

Technical Skills 

• Minimum 3 years of experience with Angular 8+ 
• Automated testing: Cypress, Jest 
• Good knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and cross-browser compatibility 
• Knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes 
• Cloud exposure: Microsoft Azure (AKS) or GCP or OCP  
• Understanding of UX/UI practices 
• HTTP, REST, microservices architecture
