Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the Plant Services Team responsible for New Build costing and Aftermarket / Services proposals (technical and commercial)
  • Focus on target definition for the Team regarding tender & proposals development, tendering strategies, calculation models, and the way of working.
  • Responsible for on-time completion of competitive high-quality controls tender costing in close collaboration with the Engineering Proposals Manager as well as Aftermarket / Service proposals (technical and commercial)
  • Provide guidance and support to the Team for tender related tasks
  • Ensure, in close collaboration with the Engineering Proposals Manager, an aligned tender development between all departments involved in the tender process at plant and systems level
  • Work closely with all functions supporting tender development to advance processes and improve efficiency
  • Supervise benchmarking activities, cost challenges, and schedule improvement tasks to ensure competitive tenders
  • Leading Controls Tender Approval meetings and related actions with the Tendering Team and obtain approval from the Center Management for the tender
  • Ensure an efficient tender handover to the project execution team in the event of contract award
  • Actively drive Continuous Improvement and Best Practices in the team and support likewise in all internal and external interfaces
  • Develop the Plant Services Team, select talent and agree on specific talent development plans with the Business Agility & New Energy leadership team
  • Conduct knowledge sharing & training sessions in direct and cross functional teams

Qualifications, expertise and experience

  • Degree in a business or technical field; alternative substantial professional experience in the field with more than 5 years of experience in Tendering
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in a disciplinary leadership role
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Subsea Production System and especially of the entire Controls system
  • Sound knowledge of MS-EXCEL and PowerPoint as well as basic knowledge of the SAP ERP system
