SLB is looking for a new Field Service Specialist – are you the one?

By joining our Field Service Specialist team, you will be embarking on a unique journey with the world's leading provider of technology to the global energy industry.

You will be responsible for the maintenance and installation of surface equipment, at both on and offshore locations across mainland Europe and the North Sea.


Your daily tasks will include:

  • Conduct and perform Field Service Installation / Maintenance and Abandonment work scopes as per Clients Programme and SLB Running Procedures
  • Provide general technical direction and assistance to the customer in the operation, maintenance, repair, logistic support, and installation of products.
  • Submit customer and service reports, timesheets and job debriefs.
  • Review reported malfunctions and identify / analyze any undesirable trends.
  • Ensure Health, Safety, Security & Environmental procedures are adhered to.

Qualifications and competencies:

  • Qualification in mechanical engineering, MBO level 2 is minimum.
  • 2-5 years relevant offshore experience desirable with Well Installation / Maintenance background.
  • Ability to work to deadlines.
  • You have experience working with basic Office products like Word and Excel and can use this efficiently to write reports.
  • You have a driver’s license (category B) and feel comfortable driving with a trailer.

  • You speak Dutch and English fluently (written & verbal)
  • You live within commuting distance to Coevorden, the Netherlands.
  • You like hands-on work, mechanical, maintenance, testing etc.
  • You are flexible when it comes to travel and working hours.
  • You preferably have a VCA certificate.
  • You are outgoing, independent and have good social skills.
  • You can communicate concisely and clearly, both verbally and when writing reports.
  • You must be comfortable talking with people from a diverse background and giving presentations.
  • You like teamwork and have the right attitude towards your coworkers and suppliers.
  • You ensure Health, Safety, and Security & Environmental procedures are adhered to, whenever, wherever.
