Do you wish to make meaningful contributions to a software that is both established and rapidly evolving to meet the needs of the energy industry? SLB is pushing the boundaries on what's possible for accurate, tailored, domain-wide process modelling to empower companies in the journey toward energy transition and digital transformation. As a simulation software developer, you will work in an agile, multi-disciplinary development team and be responsible for creating and maintaining state of the art applications within our process simulation suite of products.
The ideal candidate will have experience and passion for chemical engineering and software development. Examples of relevant interests and experience include carbon capture, optimization, flare systems, pressure flow network solvers, flow assurance, distillation, thermodynamic model development, and/or rating and sizing of unit operations. This position requires a talented problem solver with a strong background in engineering fundamental principles and their application to solve “real life” problems. Software developers at Schlumberger are involved with all aspects of the development cycle, from concept and architecting, to implementation, documentation, and deployment.
Do you have a strong background in process simulation but not very much experience as a software developer? Let us know, we want to hear about it! Our most important requirement is that you have a growth mindset, enjoy delving into highly technical problems and most importantly, make a difference with the work you do.
The core component of this position is software development, but the position also involves complementary activities, such as technical writing, consulting services and customer support.
