Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Sugar Land, Hybrid. Option to work remotely 2 out of 5 days per week

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Sugar Land, Texas. The Manufacturing Engineer primary goal is to collaborate with production floor personnel in the manufacturing of Wireline Powered Intervention Services tools. Successful position holders are excellent communicators, enjoy solving problems, and work well in teams. He/she will be the owner of their respective manufacturing processes and enforces implementation by training shop floor personnel, implementing and monitoring metrics, and oversight.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Address daily shop floor issues to ensure production is on track as planned
  • Work with supply chain and Quality to communicate material non-conformance during production
  • Establish and improve First Pass Yield (FPY), Roll Throughput Yield (RTY) and Cycle Time by methodically identifying improvement opportunities and implement changes
  • Assist in troubleshooting equipment failures by working closely with technicians and engineering
  • Understand the concept of Lean; Standardized Work Instructions, Value Stream Map, and Kaizen/5S
  • Assist with investigation, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions for reported failures from field locations

Qualifications and Experience:

  • BS/ MS in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical preferred, Industrial will be considered)
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in manufacturing production environment
  • Experience with electro-mechanical systems, complex assemblies, and troubleshooting
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and Business Intelligence (BI)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • SAP experience preferred
  • Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in the US, without sponsorship
