Job Summary:
The Dangerous Goods Compliance Officer is responsible for executing the SLB Regulatory Compliance program and its components, and provide support on compliance issues to internal clients and stakeholders within GTC.
Relationships:
Directly reports to the RP Product and Service Delivery Manager.
Responsibilities:

Develop line and other managers' awareness and ensure regulatory compliance is an integral part of responsibilities and objectives.

Gain and maintain up-to-date knowledge of laws and regulations affecting local operations relating to dangerous goods.

Be aware of changes to international conventions and regional or multi-country regulations that affect the business, and ensure that measures are implemented to maintain compliance.

Coordinate the document gathering and submission processes for regulatory licenses and permits.

Maintain regulatory compliance documentation.

Maintain, update and audit inventory and reconcile with SAP system(s)

Support the preparation of reports to management and to regulatory bodies within set time targets.

Implement procedural modifications based on changes in local laws and regulations.

Participate in external and internal regulatory audits and inspections and ensure all remedial actions are documented and closed in a timely manner.

Ensure that regulatory compliance incidents are reported, and review, investigate and close incidents in a timely manner.

Advise management on corrective actions required.

Develop and provide training on relevant processes for internal and external regulatory compliance requirements.

Develop a trust based relationship with governments, regulatory bodies and customers in coordination with stakeholders and guided by company values.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:

BSc in Engineering or related discipline
-
Knowledge of Dangerous Goods regulations and IATA regulations will be an asset

Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills

Diligent with great attention to detail
