DESK ENGINEER IN CAMERON

JOB SCOPE & RESPONSIBILITY

Summary:

The role of Desk Engineer for Cameron Balikpapan is chiefly the frontline technical support contact for the customer Pertamina Hulu Mahakam (PHM). The Engineer will work closely with the customer and be available at any time upon request as the main contact point for customer’s queries on Cameron equipment design, applications, procedures, drawings, proposal, and any other Engineering related discussions or requests.
 
Additionally, the engineer will work closely with the Cameron Balikpapan’s Product and Service Delivery (PSD) & Field Service team, to provide support and training for the team on operation and equipment related matters, as well as refurbishment and modification requests. The Engineer will also assist the team in troubleshooting field installation issues and FPR investigation activities.
 
The Engineer will also support any sales opportunity related to the customer, such as equipment modification request, new equipment quotations for drilling and/or workover operations, and continuous improvement plan’s discussion with customer.
 
The Desk Engineer will report to the Engineering Manager and management team in Singapore. The Engineer will also have access and support from the Product Design team in Singapore.
 
Qualification Requirement
 
1) Educational:
 The Engineer should be in possession a Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
 
2) Experience:
 A minimum of 2 years of experience in Surface Wellhead product or related environment in similar industry.
 
Responsibilities:
 
The Desk Engineer will support the goals and programs established by the management team. Included in the roles and responsibilities of the Desk Engineer are:
 
1) Attend PHM operation meetings to provide technical support (on contract-related equipment).
 
2) Attend PHM discussion on new equipment designs or modifications for operational support.
 
3) Provide/Generate layout/stackup drawing for existing well & workover campaigns. 
 
4) Provide/Generate procedure for workover/ad-hoc operations.
 
5) Provide technical support for field installation issues.
 
6) Provide technical support for Field Performance Report (FPR) investigations.
 
7) Provide technical support for Field Service personnel on equipment installations.
 
8) Provide equipment compatibility check for existing or old stock/inventory for new installations.
 
9) Provide Repair Good Request (RGR) disposition support for refurbishment and repair requests.
 
10) Provide technical support to the PSD team for the creation of End of Well reports, Lesson Learnt, and Contract Reports.
 
11) Provide technical support for sales activity with PHM.
