Job Summary:  

Helios is the software used to execute surface and downhole Well Testing operations all over the world. Helios provides to his users: data acquisition (via industrial protocols like OPC, Modbus, Ethernet/IP, MQTT…), computations (arithmetic and based on Black Oil model), various display widgets including 2D graph display (linear, log, versus time, versus depth, X/Y...), events, alarms mechanisms on levels and trends, logging, supervision of all the modules, modern database services, import and export of files, data publication to WITSML servers and cloud solutions, burner video analysis, a full web solution for monitoring on tablets at the well site...

Helios software team has the responsibility of the new development related to ongoing engineering hardware project and the sustaining of existing features. As a software engineer in this team, you will have to design the solutions requested by stakeholders. It can include requirements definition, prototyping of new technology, architecture of a software solution, coding, alpha tests, deployment on Windows machine, continuous integration and development pipeline setup and monitoring.

For this, you will be in contact with other team members (architect, engineer, tester) as well as hardware engineering team, field support team, the Product Champion of the project and eventually directly with Field Engineers.

 

Responsibilities

  • Implement of the feature requested in accordance with software standard defined by the team
  • Answer to bug and tickets received by the field support team
  • Deliver code and tests (test plan and unit tests)
  • Participate to code review and audit
  • Participate to improve the code quality, performance, optimization
  • Participate to regression tests
  • Participate to Agile process (daily meeting, iterations)
  • Reference all this work in the management systems

Depending on the features to develop:

  • Specification and architecture definition
  • Prototyping of solutions
  • User experience mockup

 

Background

  • Master’s degree in computer science or Engineering with software experience or education.
  • Senior Software Engineer (5+ year in software development)
